Grass Valley launches several new products at IBC and receives CSI award

During IBC 2013, the international broadcast technology forum, Grass Valley announced several new developments. Most notable of them a new line-up of LDX series cameras - LDX 80 Compact series camera heads offering offers the same feature set, format support and performance and uses the same C2IP camera control system as the LDX range, which offers unparalleled image quality, flexibility and efficiency, but at a lower price. LDX 80 Compact series cameras are developed with portability in mind to support use in productions requiring cameras on robotic heads, fixed position cameras or standalone cameras. The LDX 80 Compact Series includes LDX Compact Premiere, LDX Compact Elite and LDX Compact Worldcam, providing the same upgradeability path as bigger siblings - user can upgrade functionality anytime as required through GV-eLicensing system. LDX series cameras can now be equipped with 3G RF adapters for wireless transmission, as well as high quality OLED monitoring viewfinder.

At the forum Grass Valley announced yet another completely new development - CommandCenter software application, designed with advanced functionality to configure, control, monitor, and diagnose a range of broadcast infrastructure devices on-site or remotely. CommandCenter supports the control and monitoring of many Grass Valley products and extends Prelude™, Encore™, and Jupiter™ control solutions to a broadcast infrastructure facility control layer as well as a wide variety of devices found in broadcast facilities from various manufacturers using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).

During the forum Grass Valley also announced the latest version of GV STRATUS, its widely used nonlinear media production tool - a powerful upgrade providing increased functionality that take file-based productions to the next level. GV STRATUS was just awarded with the prestigious CSI Awards as the best workflow/asset management/automation solution. GV STRATUS comprises a full set of tools in one workspace, offering end-to-end support for all ingest, editing, content aggregation, logging, transfer, play-out and integration with the K2 Summit media server systems. New for GV STRATUS are: Multisite capabilities, Plug-in for use with Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Interfaces with Telestream Vantage, as well as Avid migration support.
